UAE EV Charging Network Hits 1,500 Public Stations in 2026

Wheels Arabia Newsroom · 4 min read

DEWA, ADDC and EV Lab continue to expand the UAE's charging coverage with new highway corridors.

The UAE's public charging infrastructure crossed 1,500 stations in early 2026, with 380 of those classified as DC fast chargers above 50 kW. Dubai accounts for the majority via DEWA's EV Green Charger initiative, which remains free to use for non-commercial vehicles until end of 2026.

A new highway corridor between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is being commissioned with 14 ultra-fast 350 kW stations, making inter-emirate EV trips seamless for the first time.
